I guess you all are aware of Barter Theatre's play festival? They choose a lot of plays to read, and some of them are chosen for a full professional production by Barter itself. Plus, they serve great coffee.
I am attending a week of readings and it's a great program, as good as the play reading series at Louisville. I don't know what the submission guidelines are, but apparently you don't have to be a hillbilly redneck to submit, because some of the playwrights are from out west. [Appalachian Play Festival]
