The award-winning Independent Theatre Collective of Wheeling, WV is calling for full-length scripts to be emailed to plays@itcgreenroom.org for consideration to their Friday Night Footlights reader's series.
Whether comedic, dramatic, absurd, musical or anywhere in between, all new, unpublished 60 - 90 minute plays will be considered. As many as ten plays could be selected and read on-stage by members of ITC.
Friday Night Footlights is a reader's theatre series that shines a spotlight on the independent, unpublished playwright. Each first Friday beginning July 2009, the Collective will feature a new, unpublished play and read it live (and also stream/archive the performance via our website); those in attendance - physically and virtually - will be able to vote for their favorite script throughout the series. The "Last Script Standing" will receive a full production during ITC's 2010-11 season.
