Sounds very interesting...
And I like to joke about being 'old' :)
Is there a way to read your project, and hear it too?
Take care
K

Well, I don't like to think of myself as old, but I just prefer the sound of "rock opera" to "sung-through".

The music is largely written (we're working on a couple new pieces, to help plug a few story gaps). Ideally, we'd like to work with a vocalist/lyricist who could listen to the melodies we've roughed out, and then turn around with something someone would really sing. And, as apart from a little narration early in Act I to fill in some back story, the lyrics need to tell the story.

I thought that the term 'Rock Opera' had been left in the past; something for us older ones to fondly remember lol(but maybe I'm just out of the loop)... either way, its very cool to see that it is still carried on...
Looks like you're after a vocalist/musician/composer mostly ...can't help you with that... but if you want lyrics let me know; I'm good with lyrics and like to write them... depending on your story, which I'd like to know first, I might like to do some collaborating.
Take care
K
(btw I live in Barrie, and I'm not a pro but I am a member of SOCAN)

I'm in Kitchener. I'm only now working on my first Musical with Big Rude Jake - Toronto musician. Sounds intriguing.

We are looking for a lyricist/vocalist for a rock opera. The project was inspired by Jesus Christ Superstar, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Knights Templar mysteries.

After receiving feedback from a number of producers, we are looking for a lyricist/vocalist to better convey the story, and write more dynamic vocal melodies (neither of us are singers).

We'd prefer to work locally, in Toronto, ON.

Thanks
