Gone in Sixty is this weekend...last night and tonight.  I send two pieces, and they chose them both.  This year, some are going to be shown on a giant tv screen in Leeds, UK.

So, how many of you had pieces in the Brooklyn or NY GI60?

Paddy

Congrats Paddy and In Media!

I took a peek at the play list online (hope this was the right list) and saw Claudia Haas's play, DONE on it.

What a trip to have one's play show on a BIG SCREEN.

Talk about International!

I submitted, but I found through their website that they didn't pick one of mine. Congratulations to those of you who got something produced!

I just went through the programme for Edinburgh 2007.  It took me three hours to read the whole thing once through.  I did notice for the first time someone is offering 60 second plays - thirty of them in one show.  I can't wait to experience them as this is not something I have seen in the UK.

...'tis true. I had one. In Brooklyn. Am looking forward to seeing it as I've never seen a one minute play before, let alone 30 or 40 :)

I just clicked on the GI60 link and it was "expired." Anyone know anything? Paddy? You said you talked to a director.

They had some issues renewing the domain they are trying to sort out now.  It should be restored within a week.  The guy uploading and doing final edits on the plays had a baby...well, I'm thinking it was probably his wife who did, early, so that threw him for a bit of a loop.  But he's got a baby, Luke now.  So that's good.

Patience.

Paddy

I had a piece in GI60 and went to the launch party in Leeds to see it on the big screen. As part of the event I was given a DVD of the complete Harrogate show and it is very good quality.

Were the ones shown those from Harrogate only, or from Brooklyn as well?

Hi Paddy

When I was there they just showed the Harrogatge film, i.e. the same as the DVD that they gave out. I don't know if the Brooklyn was shown on other days.

muncy,

Do you have problems getting to the site was well. or has Harrogate gone to another site for now?

How was it on the Big Screen.

The thing I liked about the Brooklyn site in 2006 over the2006 Harrogate one is you could watch the individual plays you selected, rather than have to download the whole thing in one sitting. Made it much easier to watch several in a short sitting and then return to it later at your convenience. I hope they keep Brooklyn the way it was. Much more viewer friendly choice.

When I go to the site it just shows an advert. It looks like their domain registration has expired.

This is what it looked like on the big screen (I've got another version of this picture where it is my play on the screen but there is a crowd in the square who were actually watching the world cup final. I had better not post that in case anyone takes it seriously)

I can provide a little insight on the website situation.
We have had a combination or web hosting/technical difficulties that have beleaguered the website for some time.  We are in the process of moving the site to a new host as we speak, and i would expect it to be up again by the end of the month.
