Not sure where to post this 'observation'? Not even sure if it is interesting?
I pointed out last year that over 8,000 people viewed the posting on Edd's Contest for prizes Jan 2009 etc. yet we only have a membership of around 1000.
Edd's contest for Prizes, April 2010 had an even greater viewing of over 9,000.
Spooky I thought to myself. Who are these people? Where are these people?
Recently I posted on Play Productions - come and see my play, with a suggestion for anybody interested, to go to You Tube, enter MrCastlecat7 and take a look at Rehearsal for Murder, a 15 minute effort filmed at my own Drama Group here in UK.
124 people viewed this post on the playwrights Forum yet only 38 viewings have been recorded by You Tube. Most of those are from locals to the UK. It would be great to get some feed back from our US cuzins regarding the cultural differences in humor?
It's also odd that because of You Tubes Max 15min. posts and Rehearsal for Murder is just over 16 mins, I had to post it as two parts.
38 have viewed the first part and only 22 have viewed the second part. (Obviously I can only surmise the other 16 did not like the first half!!!!)
All these statistics seem very odd, but it seems to indicate that we should post stuff here on the playwrights forum rather than global sites like You Tube.
Perhaps the wonderful administrators we have like Paddy and Edd can look into the ability of downloading filmed performances on this site. We obviously have a greater viewing public here!
