Great baseball poem. But of course it is more than about baseball. Much more.
Brings vividness to me of my mother listening to the games, but it was the much forsaken Cubs and the voices of Lou Boudreau and Vince Lloyd.
And Bob Elson with the White Sox for late at for night games.
Still prefer baseball on radio as well as for Blackhawks hockey.
Why is radio better than television? The pictures are better!
"See you on the radio!" - Charles Osgood
"Think when we talk of horses that you see them
printing their proud hooves into the receiving earth."
- William Shakespeare, Henry V- The Chorus
