So....I'm going out on a limb here....BUUUUUT...I think this movie is in the Top 10 of any movie I have ever seen. Maybe top 5.

FICTION OR NON-FICTION OR DOCUMENTARY.

It is a Documentary/Biography about Fred Rogers of "Mr. Roger's Neighborhood."

As one of my mentors/teachers once said years ago, "Always leave yourself open to Wonder and Surprise."

Which is what Mr. Rogers was doing on every show he did.

What a gift this movie is. And, mind you, I am as stunned in writing this as you may be in reading this. I consider myself one of the most skeptical,semi- cynical people in the world. (But a somewhat decent, Romanitc Hopeful person as well!) My favorite quote in all of Dramatic Literature is from Larry Gelbart's play "Sly Fox." The quote is "You can never think too little of any man...there is always less."

This movie about Mr. Rogers is not made to be an Epic movie. But, somehow it is! This is ONLY a quiet, unobtrusive movie documenting the DEPTH and the COMMITTMENT of an individual human soul through his actions - with the help of people around him - who are dedicated to the betterment of Humankind. What is more EPIC than THAT?!!

NOT A BAD CONCEPT, EH?

All beginning in his youth.

No different from any other person you may know of historically or from your own personal life...that quietly seeks the essence and mystery of decency and goodness through their beliefs and actions in order to make the world a better place...whether familially, locally or globally.

I could go on...but I'll shut up.

If you get a chance...see it.

Best,

IMR
