I am looking for an author to write a 10 to 15 minute play/libretto. There is no expectation to make money.

If you are still reading, this is the deal. A number of years ago a good friend of mine wrote a play. It was supposed to be a 10-minute play, but I wrote music for it and turned it into a 40-minute mini-opera.

I wanted him to write another play (you may call it a libretto) using the same characters, which would be set many years before the play he wrote. My idea was to write a complete opera based on the two plays together. He does not have time to write the play so I am looking for someone else to write it.

I can send anyone interested the play he wrote, and can send the music that I wrote that accompanies it (of course, nobody is singing the two parts, just synthetic voices humming). I have not properly orchestrated the piece because I wanted to wait till it might actually be performed, in which case I would orchestrate for the instruments available.

If there is any interest then please let me know and I will be glad to do what I can to see this project through completion.

All of my music is available through Creative Commons, so there is no expectation that money will be made. Needless to say, were this to actually happen then profits would be split three ways.

I think that this could be a fun project, especially since, at this point, we are very much sheltering in place.

Examples of my music can be found at
