Dear Sir or Madam,
Enclosed you will find my submission for a children’s book – I have included a synopsis and one chapter as well as a self-addressed stamped envelope.
I am a professional playwright and an author of children’s books from XXXX – the book I have enclosed a chapter of, was published in XXXX in 2006 and has received the award for Most Beautiful Children’s Book of 2006.
The Puppet Theatre is an adventurous story about the most beautiful puppet ever made – Emma – with whom Prince Kasper becomes obsessed with, believing she may one day become alive.
The story also evolves around the puppets of Mr. Mozer – the puppet master who has created Emma for the kingdom’s one thousandth anniversary. It so happens, that his puppets are just as alive as the folk in the kingdom – but only when no one is watching them.
One day the evil apothecary Marcus Zimmer offers the puppets a spell to transform Emma into a living, breathing girl. What the poor puppets do not know, however, is that by accepting the spell, they will have sold their own souls to the evil apothecary. Now they must set out to find a way to break the contract – but will they manage to save Emma in doing so or will she become a puppet again, thus losing the love of Kasper... ?
The chapter as well as the synopsis I am sending you have been translated by an English native speaker.
Best Regards,

Is it very bad? I'm just not sure how much "bio" i should put into the letter - or should i send a creative CV together with the synopsis and text sample?

Thanks for any kind of feedback!
