nic,
Duuuuh!!!!
Why the hell had I not thought of this before for you and other Australian playwrights?
I know some people in a tangential way, that are very involved with this theatre. They are all very talented.
Look into it, you "downunders." One of my Irish ancestors was sent there as a prisoner in the 1850's. Brits were sooooo loving to us.
I tell people that Australia is the rare place that a winery has an Irish name!

Time line Theatre in Chicago has a policy of producing work that links historical values with modern themes . They accept submissions in the usual form... synopsis, ten page sample and a biog. email is prefered to Ben Thyme the Literary Manager ben@timelinetheatre.net
I sent off a sample of my play based on Chinese and Australian conflict on the gold fields entitled Pickle Bottle Hill

nic,
Time Line does some nice work.
If you are looking for a Chicago Theatre that focuses on literary adaptations go to Lifeline Theatre
http://www.lifelinetheatre.com/
Just saw their current show, "Mariette in Ecstacsy." Very fine job. Actors were excellent. Full blown thoroughly produced production in a very small space.

Again I don't have anything for this one and I'm working on a major project so can't stop but if you have a ten minute horror this one could be for you.
Wildclaw Theatre in Chicago is offering a ten minute horror radio play contest. Dead line is July 15 and you can pick up the details at wildclawtheatre.com
Only two days to go and I'm determined to submit on each of those days. It's been a good spree for me I've found new contacts, reworked older material to suit and failed to market the material I thought I'd concentrate on.

Last day and in a bit of a flurry I sent three short plays off to the Little Fish Theatre's short play fest, Pick of the Vine.
They say that they'll take up to three entries from each writer and would prefer entries to arrive from May but what the hell I'm in early.
Little Black Dress, Six o Seven from Flagstaff and Simply Add Water have gone to melanie@littlefishtheatre.org
The best and thanks to everyone who has contributed to this spree

Okay, One last spurt.
Had an email today from Electric Pear productions in NY. They're an active lot (always sending me info on what they're doing etc) they're accepting unsolicited work for possible NY production.
They want the usual, Synopsis, your background and the first ten to twenty pages of the script.
They seem to do some edgy stuff and a lot of new work so I sent them my long, long one woman, one act, Boughbreak.
Snail mail only and it goes to Julie Haverkate Literary Director Electric Pear Productions PO Box 281 New York NY 10028

Lost Playwrights of Western North Carolina still needs short comedies.
It's the last day and I still haven't received anything.
Hey folks, just remember that we do staged readings of short, unpublished comedies in a public forum (deli) on the 4th Saturday evening of every month here in Hendersonville, NC.
We don't pay... but don't need premiers either. Previously performed stuff is fine for us.
Send us your short (5-15 min) comedies and if we perform it we'll send you a copy of the program and poster along with our gratitude.
Send to me via e-mail at ratsss@juno.com There's no deadline... I'm always here and have a program to fill every month.

Nic
If you click on each link then do NOT fill any names just click SEARCH, then it will bring you to each Theatre's website.
Here is another of interest. I've been to some of the plays at this festival and they are excellent. My friend's brother-in-law won a few years ago
