My play, REFLECTING LENS, which I originally posted for critique here, just won a One-Act Play Festival. It will have a Staged Reading, along with a few other one-act plays. Plus a stipend.

The clear critiques I received here were definitely the major influence on making the play stronger. It was selected for a reading at very nice theatre in Chicago in the Autumn, and off that reading with two wonderful actors and insightful director, I was able to tweak it some more to where it stands now. It is just a tich longer than originally posted.

Thank you to all who generously critiqued:

Kris,

timmy,

moonmi,

castlecat,

swannn19,

corerro

and Monsiuer muncy.

I can’t thank you all enough.

I had a nicely chilled martini (gin) - stirred not shaken - last night to celebrate.

Best,

in media res

This is very cool. Congratulations with all the shorts that accompany Joey on his journey...

I'm still waiting for the "boy meets girl / says goodbye or stays" piece ;)

Congratulations!!

p.s. And a stipend to boot -- I'm envious!
