I am an acting, tech theatre teacher and an aspiring playwright. I have written 4 as of now unpublished one acts. I have joined to get feedback and a way to get my shows presented by someone other than me.
I find (and I think many will agree with me) that before posting one's work, one ought to take the time to become acquainted with the work and musings of others. To engage in our discussions and input one's own two cents. So that way, when you do post your own piece, we will have a better understanding of who you are. So take a look around first, there's lots of insight to be had.
Especially well put. I think you should post it for all new members. It is welcoming, kind, concise and history of this site proves it to be a true summary of how it all works. Just like any relationship that is built over time.
I just reposted it in the "Advice to Visitors" section. I am so glad to be a part of this community. It's too bad that my academic life has taken over much of my time to write... I guess I'll just have to make time. Hope all is well.
