Many of you have asked over the years about websites and if they are worth it. Since many, many of my productions have come from a web presence, I can assure you that it is more than worth it.

I've been paying for my website for years and spending much time and frustration doing all the HTML work (which is a bitch!). I discovered a free web service that has great templates and doesn't require coding. I like this site better than the one I pay for, but I'll keep the old one because it has my unique address and I want to make certain, before changing over, that YOLA is here to stay, so I will maintain both for awhile. If you want to play around with a free website, check out mine. They will try to sell you their full service, of course, but you can do just nicely without it till you think you really want it. Here's mine. http://edwardcrosbywells.yolasite.com/

Always the best,
Edd

P.S. Check into Stageplays' online publishing. In the short time the service has been offered, I've sold about a dozen copies of a single play. Just some sage advice about something you might want to check into.

NOTE: These are not advertisements in any way. I simply want to help you in every way I can.

Great to know, Edd!

Thanks for the tip about Yola. I'm definitely bookmarking it for when (and if) my career takes off.

I have a play added to Stageplays' online library, but as far as I know, it's had no downloads. Hmmm. Maybe you only really feel the benefit if you're a known writer...

All the best,

RTurco

Dear Mr. Turco,

When you write a sleazy, low-brow, trashy play by the name of 3 Guys in Drag Selling Their Stuff - nobody needs to know who you are. Just cater to the lowest denominator and you're bound to do well. :o)

Best,
Edd

Haha! So true. (I'm still looking for like button as if I was on Facebook)

Maybe my next play will be a dramatization of "Last Tango in Paris" with Marlon Brando. That way we get both crowds in there: the artists and the perverts.

I've recently just set up a wordpress on my domain, gives a nice clean looking blog that can double as a website if you use the Pages and stuff.

Free, easy to set up and manage :)
