Hey all,

So as it stands now, I am not a member of the Dramatists Guild of America. I've heard that pratically every serious playwright everywhere in America is a part of it, but I'd like to know a little more about what they can do for amateurs like me. I read their site and it sounds like it's really for professionals. What do you think? And can someone explain the different levels of membership more clearly? Thanks

RTurco

I'm a member, and I've gotten their free standard contracts. Those were helpful. If you don't have an agent, having those standard contracts is a good idea.

Also, if someone infringes your copyright or doesn't stick to the terms of the contract, the DG lawyers will go to bat for you.
