Some of you might remember me from before. I certainly remember Thain, Edd and Paddy.
In 2009, I quit my day job to pursue my two passions, theatre and academics. I was called all kinds of a fool, of course. I was 44, had no savings and was pretty much unemployable in very many sectors, people half my age becoming managers in call centres, et. al.
About two days after I quit my job I got a call from a school. They needed what I thought was one play. It turned out they needed ten musicals. I agreed to deliver. And I did.
Between 2009 and 2011 I wrote around 30 scripts and 300 songs for schools.
I continue to write musicals for schools and also write forensic pieces for students who undertake the Trinity Guildhall examinations in Acting.
I've only written four plays , two one act plays and two full length plays. I've never had them published though. I have never been to school for theatre and just decided to try something new. Nice to hear that you succeeded in the schools theatre.I am member also of stageplays and hope they can help me too I have written some songs as well on guitar too. I used to play piano years ago.
