We had to cancel this show.  My apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Very interesting and timely video you have about the play.

And, "All Quiet on the Western Front" is one of my favorite books and movies. Shattering. (Along with Hemingway's "A Farewell to Arms.")

I suggest people go to the link on your poster for more information.

Hope you have great success with it!

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

IMR

By the way, I just saw the other day on Netflix, a brilliant movie about WW I in America. The beginning of the war. Stars Sam Shepard. Based on William Saroyan's "The Human Comedy."

It turned out that the role of Fritz Haber was beyond the abilities of the leading man.  After a truly disastrous next-to-last rehearsal, the director and leading lady agreed that they could not go on with the show in the shape that it was in.  The producer, after some thought, agreed that they were right.

That producer and leading man being me.  After the three good male candidates we had back in June all had to turn down the role, I overestimated my acting abilities and took on the role myself.  A lesson I should have learned years ago from a previous failure - never cast or hire in a panic.

My partner and I still want to produce this show.  We will discuss plans later this week.

Congratulations on your humilty, self-awareness.

It would have done you nor your play nor the audience any good to "forge ahead."

I wish more theatre companies/people possessed that!

Would save us from a lot of bad productions of good plays.

The play sounds fascinating.

Hope it goes up sometime.
