My shows have played to paid audiences and have had staged readings that were produced by festivals and others. They have been praised by luminaries such as Charles Strouse and Austin Pendleton. My latest project is just about ready to go so I am eagerly seeking a new major production bound for success. I'm seeking a librettist/lyricist with a project either completed or on its way.
I'm looking for a composer/arranger for a Jewish music and dance inclined musical "THE HOPE" that I'm currently writing libretto for.
Most of the songs will not be original songs, but rather songs that exist already. For example, we'll take a melody of Hava Nagila and write English lyrics for it. You can make your own versions and changes to this melody as long as it's recognizable. Also Christian gospel songs (swing style will be used).
It's a collaboration. No payment is offered until we find producers/investors/sponsors. But I'll sign a collaboration agreement of course, to make sure you keep all the rights to the music you contributed.
Thank you for your reply. Let me check out your music first and I will respond here or through personal messaging.
In the meantime - here is an example, where I paid reasonable amount of money to a person who arranged English lyrics, which I supplied, to melody of "Let Me Back In" and recorded it for me this song. I signed Work for Hire agreement with him and now own the song 100% and in the same time I made a release of a single with his name as featured artist - so I gave him free advertisement on 50 digital platforms (Amazon, iTunes/Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, Google Music, Spotify etc.) as my thank you for his help.
This guy John Webber replies to every project with the same reply. I think he must be related to Andrew Lloyd. How do you know his reply was to you and not to me? And what is this photo? Is this your wife or your composer?

Hi John. I can't read sheet music, unfortunately. Are there audio file of your music you have online that can be listened to? Do you release your own single and albums? If not, I can help you with that - I have some amount of good experience with that. You can look at my releases (as music producers) if you search for RIGLI anywhere in music stores. I'm just starting, so it's not much yet, a lot of releases are coming.
If you want to release your music without paying for the release and renewal each year - there is a way to do that too. Googl Artist Hub offers that. I use that portal too https://play.google.com/store/music/artist?id=Amtzvz2vyd4z3fqotczr6wy66vy
and I recommend it very much. It takes 2-3 weeks until they check that you're real etc. and then your artist pages goes live and you're in business. No fees to upload and keep your original music on there forever.
I have some of my stuff on SoundCloud as well https://soundcloud.com/djrigli - always looking for singers that can record their voices themselves.
Still looking? I recently returned to musical theatre after a decades-long hiatus (I was a member of BMI's workshop with Lehman Engel, and the first head of ASCAP's Librettist's Workshop), and I'm in a hurry to find a collaborator who can help make a nearly complete libretto into a powerful, moving show.
Is this site a free for all? Why does Webber music reply to posts that seem to be directed at other people? What's up with this guy? He has the nerve of Andrew Lloyd without any of his money. He's not even a theater composer. If you listen to his work, its all classically oriented!
Can you delete my posts on this page? I have no wish be inflammatory.
I have explained to keyman that I was responding to an email from savagejj, which I now realise was a posting on this page. I apologize for any and all misunderstanding, but the email did say it was from savage to me, and I responded accordingly and unwittingly.
