Mana:
Forty-six degrees, rain
drops as big as marbles—

days will literally fall
down the rest of the month.

Toward the end of my walk
when light finally comes,

I see a familiar house
at the end of a same street.

Short, but visual. I love the two line stanzas, and adore your word choice. I leaves me wanting more. Good job. I like it.

This poem was written over a year ago. It is raining as I write this. Not much changes in Mother Nature's bosom.

Thanks for the comments.

**************

As a fellow Midwesterner... not as extremely far north as you...timmy, you nailed it.

Winter is a'comin.

Raking up the fallen leaves and Pine Tree needles today. Will have a few more in the next couple of weeks. Funny how heavy pine needles can be when gathered together in a lawn-bag.

Thanks for capturing "the yearly future" so well.

Best,

IMR
