Hi. I am an author from Eastern Europe (Ukraine) and I have a one-act children's musical. This musical has already been staged in a regional theater in my country. It was also translated into English. I received a good review from one of the Broadway critics. But there is one problem – it is not a good enough translation, since it was done by a non-native speaker.
So, I have music (demo versions with vocals) and a libretto. About half of the conversations and lyrics need correction. I am looking for a person who will be interested in helping me with this. I can’t promise high pay, but in return I’m ready to assist as a composer or arranger in your musical. Or maybe we can find another mutually beneficial option.
It is embarrassing to admit, but I don't remember much about "Fox Mykyta", although I'm sure the story was read to me as a child.
My first language is Ukrainian, and I have been published in English, my second language, the one in which I am most proficient. I have also written a musical (lyrics, book, all but orchestral accompaniment) and am not quite sure what I want to do with it. I did make a video of one of my songs, and posted it up on YouTube, for fun, and as a bit of musical bona fides, in case any opportunities came up to collaborate, etc.
Perhaps I could help translate your words? Or at least, polish them up into a more native English? I like very much the idea of the story being made into a musical, and congratulate you on doing so.
Please feel free to email me and discuss this, although I'd be happy just for some more information on it, first.

May I ask, where are you located? For some reason, this forum has located me in the Siberia of Canada, the Yukon, when I"m just a bit north of the USA, in a big, metropolitan city. I have no idea why!
