In this climate, it's become difficult to be a playwright - well, more difficult - if that's at all possible.

How do you feel about the scrutiny? Who's story is it?

Can you have characters of colour, but not tell their cultural story?

Where does it end?

Let's talk.

It's a big deal.

Paddy,

In what sense do you mean Scrutiny?

I am confused by your question?

Can you specify specify more?

#1 question I have is "Scrutiny by whom?"

Best,

IMR

In Canada, thought it was in the US as well, there are a lot of issues surrounding the stories, we as playwrights, tell.

This article explains it better than I will.
