I’m a playwright-lyricist looking for a composer with whom to work on an adaptation of one of my straight plays for a musical.
The play in question is an award-winning play about Dorothy Parker and her first marriage - bittersweet in tone, but ripe for music.
A little about me - I am a playwright-lyricist who has written a variety of dramatic works, including four musicals, twelve straight plays, a rock opera, and a few screenplays. My work has been performed throughout the United States, including California, Washington, Maryland, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Louisiana, Colorado, Kentucky, Texas, and New Jersey. My plays and screenplays have also been recognized in over 50 national and international contests since 2012. At one point, I even founded and led a theatrical not-for-profit organization in the US. Overall, my style tends towards the more romantic, classical space.
Let me know if you’d be interested in connecting or chatting further.
If you’re interested in working on another project, I’m also all ears, too!
