Could be the wind
storm Aidan passing by
floorboards squeaking

All alone in the house
front door unlocked
every now and then it
blows open and the
floorboards squeak again

Glued to her chair
she's not afraid
she knows who they are

Family and friends
have come to sit with her

There is her mother
over by the stove
stirring the pot of soup
her sisters chatting by the fire

Even her beloved Chester has arrived
He's been resting under the apple trees
knockdown by a car

It's going to be a busy day
squeaking floorboards

There goes the front door again
who's that's arriving now?
Oh, it's Richard
She didn't know he was dead
