Another nine weeks
in lockdown

The Minister
at ten o clock at night
sat down with an
English tabloid
to give them the scoop
like we don't have
our own papers

It will be May before
we see the light of day

Stuck in the house
washing
cooking
cleaning
washing
cooking
cleaning

walking around in a circle
wash your hands
keep your distance
no family allowed in
your house
not even to the front garden

Not a vaccine insight
it'd be Christmas
before we get a poke in the arm

We could be dead by then
Didn't I see with
my own two eyes
three funerals
back to back this morning

Three of them
back to back

And him the Minister
pondering going over the pond
the nerve of him
that permanent smirk on his mug
locking us down for another
nine weeks
all he is thinking about
is the bowl of shamrock

Oh yes, the snakes will
remain in the country
this St.Patrick's day
