Mana:
Double decker buses
passing by
empty of passengers
but still they run on time
in this pandemic

In the past hour
as she sits there
alone at her window
streets empty of people
not a dog in sight

Five flashing blue lights
sirens screaming
rushing to the local hospital
someone's love one
laying on a stretcher

There was no sun today
or yesterday
rain and more rain
dark cloudy skies

The gates of the church
just outside her bay window
are locked
they will open tomorrow
for the chief mourners
mourning their dead

All on the eve of
Saint Bridget

Tomorrow the sun
will surely shine
daffodils will bloom
snowdrops pushing through the soil
The Robin family
in residence in the hedge
chirping and calling
spring is here at last
it's another day
