Hello to all new members to our Forum. You are all most welcome and we hope you enjoy playing with us, find us good company and that you kick back, get comfortable and stay awhile
Lately we have had many new faces, as it were, join our Forum and leave poetry and plays for us to critique. Many of you may be disappointed if you find no one has critiqued your work. That is certainly natural, but we're not here solely to critique the work of others--especially the work of those whom we do not know. So, you need to know that it is best if you stick around awhile and don't run off if your work is not instantly responded to. When you do post your work, it is best to leave approximately 10 pages. Every additional page makes it less and less likely to be read.
We want to get to know you--as I'm sure you want to get to know us, since it is best that you become familiar with, to one degree or another, who it is doing the critiquing. When we get to know you a bit we can get an idea of who you are and how we can best help you--or you us--on this great and magical journey into Playwriting. So, dive in and take part in the one-on-one exchange that is The Playwrights' Forum. Make constructive comments on other people's work, treating others as you would like being treated. That will tell us much about you and will be beneficial to other members at the same time. It's a win-win situation.
Unfortunately, when you join us and post your play and lay back and wait, expecting we know not what, you may be disappointed, run away and we never see you again. So, join us in the exchange of information, simple chit-chat or playful banter and become a vital part of our truly wonderful Forum where many of us have been here a decade or more and hope that you will remain with us that long as well.
Welcome to The Playwrights' Forum!
I wish you Love, Laughter, Bravos and Fabulous Lighting,
I note that many folks who sign up to become members are getting inadvertently bumped from the forum. Other than quite by accident, there is a reason for that--and easily remedied.
There are many folks signing up who, for one reason or another, do not post nor take part in our forum
There is no way to know if they are spam gathering member information or, considering some of the creative names used, are legit.
I suggest you fill out the profile--let us know you are, in the least, interested in Theatre. You can still remain anonymous if that is your pleasure, but you MUST add some kind of theatrical interest to your profile. We cannot determine your intent with absolutely no information.
On another note: When you are posting to the forum, please post in the section/topic in which your posting applies.
