My dark little drama Accounts Receivable premiered on a bill of 11 short plays over the weekend at the Old Town Playhouse in Kenai, Alaska. This was the group's first experience with the ten minute play format. Much to everyone's surprise, all three performances sold out. Ironically, I had shopped my play around to several publishers before staging it, but all took a pass on it. I knew before staging it it was a good little show, and audiences validated that opinion. As always, it's hard to reconcile a publisher's rejection with the enthusiastic applause of an audience.
