Hi all --
My one-act play , TRUE BLUE  will make its Baltimore debut in January 18-21, 2007.

TRUE BLUE is a tale of two soldiers guarding a neutral zone as a savage war swirls around them. In their cabin, set squarely on the border, Fred, from the earthy Green army and his friendly opposite, Blue Blood Jeffrey, have created their own little peaceful society of sorts. All will change with Jeffrey's tour of duty ending today. Jeffrey's relief at the prospect of going home and to his self-centered life of leisure is short-lived, when Fred turns the tables, forcing him to understand the world  from a different point of view and learning the unpredictable power of prayer.

DATES: Thursday January 18th @ 7:30
Friday January 19th @ 7:30
Saturday January 20th @ 7:30
Sunday  January 21st @ 2:30 and 7:30

LOCATION:
The Mobtown Theatre at Medowmill
3600 Clipper Mill Rd. Suite 114
Baltimore, MD, 21211

TICKET PRICES:
Roll of the die plus $3 ($4-$9). Tickets will be sold at the door.  For more information call (443) 844-9253 or email singlecarrot@gmail.com or visit http://www.myspace.com/singlecarrot

TRUE BLUE had its world premiere in the 2006 Fritz Blitz festival in San Diego, winning a rave review from the SAN DIEGO UNION TRIBUNE.  Diep Huyhn, who played "Fred" in the original production,  won the "Fritz Award" for leading actor, beating out all the other shows, long and short. It's a rare thing for the Fritz Blitz to give an acting award for a performance in one of their  short plays.

Other plays teamed with TRUE BLUE are "Martha's Choice" by Rich Espey and  "An Interview with Martin Van Buren" by Ira Gamerman

Single Carrot Theater, a new theatre company of nine University of Colorado alumni originated in May, 2005 in Boulder, Colorado. Artistic director J. Buck Jabaily believes that Baltimore will be a great home for Single Carrot because of its thriving, supportive arts community.  "It's exciting to move to a place that welcomes growth, challenge and change," Jabaily said.

"The day is coming when a single carrot, freshly observed, will set off a revolution."
-Paul Cezanne

I love that die thing... Mind if I nick it for my next one-act performance!
Congratulations on the production - if only I had the air fare I'd visit the US for the first time and take it in.
Enjoy!
Jack

Mary -

Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed TRUE BLUE last night at its Baltimore premiere. (My play MARTHA'S CHOICE was also produced.) Congratulations on a wonderful script; I think you would have been mightily impressed by the acting and directing, too!

Rich

Thanks Richard!

I just read the review on Broadwayworld.com, and it looks like a win-win-win for all of us, including Ira Gamerman.

The description of your play sounds hilarious.

Here is the link to the review.

Everybody got a win out of this -- I love it when that happens.
