Intelligentsiaren't

There's morons in the government,
and I'm not one to complain,
There's morons on the TV,
A moron drives my train,

There's idiots in uniforms,
And dumbfucks in the schools,
They're teaching little nincompoops,
To grow them into fools,

There's stupid people making speeches,
And when those people shout,
Their big dumb mouths will open wide,
And let the stupid out,

But Between your normal moron,
And the ones for which you vote,
There is a crucial difference,
A difference you should note,

When Joe Bloggs Short Plank cocks things up,
A bus won't come on time,
He'll cause you inconvenience,
Though it's not a crime,

But when the brains in parliament,
Stutter groan and stop,
Then banks can crash, soldiers die,
And fission-bombs will drop

Hello, lostsocks,

I was laughing until the end of the poem, which is too sad, too true. As you well know, Parliament hasn't cornered the market on idiocy. Or incivility. I was watching "Meet the Press" this afternoon, and it sounded like the Tower of Babel. I wonder if we've brought this on ourselves.

I posed the same question to a friend once, but he said he couldn't have brought it on himself... since he never votes *cringe*
