 i have a couple of theaters interested in a new script - hooray!  usually, this only happens after publication but this time, i'm still waiting to hear back from the publisher where i've submitted it so ha on them!  that's what they get for taking so long - lost royalites.

anyway, i need some kind of contract to give the theaters.  i'm not a member of the guild (haven't really needed any of their services & the membership fee has kept me from joining) but i'm thinking now could be the time to jump on board.  if i become a member, would they be able to help me draft a contract?

They also have standard contracts they have designed for various types of theatres according to size and venue, etc. that you can download or they can mail them to you.

If you have particular questions about a contract or anything, from my experience, they get back to you usually within 24-48 hours.

I have been nothing but happy about my membership in the Guild. And they treat you as seriously as any playwright member. Very responsive to your needs.

The Guild costs 26 cents a day for an Associate Membership. Not bad.
