(New York) Workshop

Sunday August 18th

with British Playwright, SUZY ALMOND

Venue tbd (*most likely The Room at New Georges)

This is a day of inspired invention – which will allow you to create a complete short play or the bones of something longer.

During the day a small group will make individual work in a fun, safe, friendly environment - no previous experience necessary.

If you write already, the day is a powerful refresher, a series of specific prompts, which will help you to generate and shape exciting new material.

BIO: Suzy Almond is a British playwright who has been commissioned and written for Soho Theatre, the Birmingham Rep, Lightning Ensemble and BBC Radio 4. Her first play WALTZING’S FOR DREAMERS won Soho Theatre's Westminster Prize. SCHOOL PLAY was described by the Guardian as 'Remarkable...a first rate play." She has been writer in residence at Bloomberg and has run courses for Shelter, the Brit School, TouchPaper and Morley College in London.

Investment: $100 for the day.

Hours: 11-5pm.
