Now accepting new works!

BVT is seeking submissions of full length plays for staged readings as part of their 2022 summer season. Plays must be previously unproduced, but may have been workshopped or received other readings. Past BVT New Works Initiative readings include “Waiting for Fair” (F.J. Hartland), “Natural Causes” (Charles Zito), and “Ripped” (Rachel Bublitz). Productions will be cast with professional actors from NYC and around the country. Small stipend available.

Though active year round, the centerpiece of BVT’s programing is a 6-play season of plays and musicals from June – September, utilizing a company of professional artists drawn from New York City and around the country. Additionally the theater offers presented programming –theater, concerts, family programming– on select weekends year round, and educational programs for local students ages 4 – 17.
