I just joined the website today, and am very excited to find a place to mingle with other playwrights. I primarly write plays for young actors but am in the process of pushing myself to expand that.
I have been a drama teacher/director with various aged kids for about 10 years, and about five years ago I jumped back into playwrighting. I was working with 4th & 5th graders and we had too many actors and too few plays that would be fun, appropiate and do-able. So I started writing my own. The largest cast size I wrote for and directed was 60 actors (and 8 backstage kids.)
Now that I've moved from the west coast (Seattle) to the east (Goucester MA) I am ready to spend more time focusing on my writing, but am always looking for ways to get invovled with theatre with kids.
So..uh..other than that my favorite color is green
Welcome from just down the road, Sophi. It's nice to see someone else from the north shore on here. I'm sure you'll find plenty of ways to help your writing along here, there's always someone looking to help.
