In your world is the glass half-empty, half-full, or something else entirely?

I always answer the optimist/pessimist question with "I'm a realist. The glass is half full of water and half full of air."
So I don't know how to vote in the poll :)

i'm a klutz so i've knocked the glass over & broken it. then i cut my finger picking up the pieces. then i got blood on my shirt so i have to stop what i'm doing to wash it before it sets. then i stepped on the cat's tail trying to take my shirt off so she's mad at me and won't come out from under the bed. now i'm thinking there might be a short play in all this...what was that about a poll?

An optimist tries to get the last sip out of an empty glass. A pessimist is certain whatever's in a full glass is bad for you. Realistically, the glass is probably made of plastic.

I was once told that a writer NEVER says that the glass is "half full" or "half empty."
A writer ALWAYS says the glass is "too big."
(Replace the word "glass" with the word "theatre" and you will see the truth in that statement.)

Depends on what is in the glass.
I always try to make sure there is a full bottle next to it.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

All of this commentary and yet only two votes. Hmmmmmm.
Too few options to contain our responses. Obviously we're thinking outside the glass.
My option's not there...along with half full, half empty, and half gone I was looking for "half assed."
I haven't thought much about this. I gave up all liquids for Lent :)
I'm glad you are polling the "Glass" and not "The Bottle" Grace
Metalious told her lawyer that when she looked into the empty bottle she saw herself . She died aged 39
All liquids? Water, juice? Seems a little drastic unless you're eating plenty of fruits with a high water content. Careful of dehydration.
(Seems as if the preferred answer in this group to the half full/half empty question is 'something else entirely'.)

It depends, really, on who's pouring...
