Kato, thanks for that link. I'm keeping that link on my "favorites" column. GREAT. There is the chance of after reading it I could be sued if a fecking line or two shows up in my script inadvertently. It might come to mind and I think it's mine---that can happen.

Guess what, my dear friend, I've got two plays with film options! Indies of course. About 3/4 of my novel complete. I hope to have it finish by the time I finish chemo, (prostate).

Love, Edd

P.S. Struggling Playwright: Thanks for the "vomit." Is that something you think this Forum deserves?

As I wrote, I expect no one to click on, read, or enjoy my silly shit. I have no options, no audience, no class, nor any friends to share my writing with. Frankly, I'm closer to killing myself than getting anywhere.
As for "vomiting"- excuse the flourish, but that's merely how I've come to view writing. You take what's inside you and purge onto paper, however distasteful. You seem to think I was denigrating you...? That would be an odd inference. Or perhaps you just think I'm the new, frivolous ass who "expects things" from you and therefore I should be sneered upon when I volunteer a writing sample under the Critique My Writing forum...
I take it you get a lot of those.

OKAY, Silly person. I read the first two scenes in the hope you won't commit suicide. RARELY does anyone leave a play to be critiqued until they've participated, got to know us a bit, we get to know you a bit. Critique some plays. Help others and others will help you. You MUST be proud of what you've done! Or why do it? Do your best and fight for it with passion. Or why do it. Frankly, silly person, from reading your first two scenes I was impressed that you REALLY are a playwright with much potential. Don't call your work vomit. It's not!!! I LIKE IT!

Struggling Writer-

You always have options. Have you had people read the work out loud to you? That is a key step to rewriting and getting the play to work.

Take your work seriously. Keep going to plays, meet actors, write more plays. It takes a while to get the hang of it.
